Reminder No Tumbling Practice on Sunday, December 18th

I know you will all be upset but I am just reminding you that there is NO TUMBLING PRACTICE on Sunday, December 18th as the OGC is hosting an acrobatic gymnastics competition.

Scarborough Interclub Competition Schedule

Here is the competition schedule for the Scarborough Gym Elite's Interclub Tumbling competition set for December 18th.  Please do not call the club unless you are lost on the day of competition.

January 2012 Schedule post

Here is the January 2012 schedule as well.  

Note that there is a special training for the Developmental Tumbling Groups 1, 2 and 3 on Friday, January 6th.  This a special class for the whole group and a sort of mini-training camp.  Please let your coach know if you can make it on that day.

December Schedule

Here it is!  The December schedule.

Please note:  Developmental Tumbling Groups 1, 2 and 3 do not train during the Holiday Break.

Traininigs during the week between Christmas and New Years the viewing area will most likely be closed to parents.  Athletes will be dropped off and returned to the sliding glass doors at the front of the club.

Please let the coaches know if you will be away during the holiday break.

December schedule on its way...

The December schedule is on its way.  We have a Director's Meeting at the club on Monday, December 5th to finalize the holiday training schedule.  The December schedule will be posted on Monday night.  For the time being all classes are running as per the regular schedule.

Please note that Tumbling will likely be training Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of the two weeks that the athletes have off school.  Afternoons and evenings.

Day 1 World Age Group Championships

Today Kezia Allen and Savannah Wepf pulled off strong tumbling passes at the World Age Group Trampoline & Tumbling Championships in Birmingham, England.  


Kezia was dealing with a sore ankle from a short landing during training and Savannah was recovering from a sprained ankle that she suffered on Monday evening in the hotel.  Both girls pushed past the pain and delivered two routines.


Kezia placed 23rd and Savannah placed 24th, point one behind Kezia.  Congratulations to both on competing in their first World Championships.  Way to go OGC!

This week Jonathan Meehan and Don Holmes are attending the World Championships for Trampoline & Tumbling in Birmingham, England.  


Here is what the venue looks like. For those athletes who will be coming next week for World Age Groups this will let you start preparing mentally for the space you will be competing in.

November Schedule 2011

Please note that there are some changes to the schedule beginning this month as Niki is now on maternity leave for the rest of the season.

Developmental 3 will now be coached by Jane freeing Amanda up to coach the National group with Don

Provincial D will now have Wendy on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm

Provincial D will train on Sundays from 11:30 to 1:30pm with Amanda

Developmental 2 will train on Sundays from 1:30 to 3:30pm with Amanda

National Youth/Open/Senior will have Wendy on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm

Our apologies for the changes but in order to accommodate Niki's maternity leave some changes were necessary.  Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Hi Everyone,

This Sunday Gymnastics Ontario is hosting a Judging Course for Acrobatic Gymnastics.  Don, Amanda, Jane and Dana will be participating in this course so there are some changes to this Sunday's schedule so that we can get back from the course and coach.

Developmental 3 Tumbling moved to 4:30 to 6:30pm with Amanda

Provincial DC Tumbling moved to 6:30 to 8:30pm with Amanda and Dana

Developmental 2 Tumbling moved to 6:30 to 8:30pm with Amanda and Dana

Interclub Acro Group 1 moved to 4:30 to 6:30pm with Jane and Dana

Interclub Acro Group 2 moved to 4:30 to 6:30pm with Jane and Dana

Our apologies for the late notice on this change.  Most of you have already sent me a message back to inform me that you received this message.  Thanks.  For those of you who have not gotten back to Don please do so, so that we know you will not be coming to gym at the regular time.  

Please Note:  THE VIEWING AREA WILL BE CLOSED AFTER 7:00PM.  You can collect your child from the sliding glass doors at the front of the gym at 8:30pm.

You are not required by the tumbling program to get an OGC tracksuit this year but you are still welcome to.  Orders for the traditional tracksuit will be done through the office at a later date.  You could opt for the slimmer fitted tracksuit for the girls offered through Twist Activewear.

These items are available to the athletes in the Tumbling and Acrobatic Gymnastics Program.  Interclub, Provincial and National athletes are invited to purchase some great OGC items to wear to training, competitions, at the mall, wherever you want.

National Tumblers WILL train on Monday from 6:00 to 8:30pm.
